“When Jolene joined the role, six sites within the region were in the ‘dependent’ stage of the Bradley curve. A high level of supervision was required in educating the technicians around safety initiatives. She implemented multiple safety programs and took personal effort to educate technicians about safety on the job, consequences of actions, and encouraged them to be more interdependent and share their safety stories. She used the theme of ‘walking the talk’ during her engagement with people working on the floor. She always made herself available to people by making rounds on the shop floor and leading by example.”
