Workers’ comp report looks at regulatory and legislative trends in 2024
Boca Raton, FL — “Mental injuries” (such as post-traumatic stress disorder), cannabis and independent contractors were among the top workers’ compensation-related issues that state legislatures focused on this year, a new report shows.
The National Council on Compensation Insurance’s 2024 Regulatory and Legislative Trends report features intuitive and interactive dashboards on enacted legislation and loss cost/rate filing.
As of July 31, NCCI had tracked a combined 917 federal and state bills that could affect workers’ comp stakeholders. The organization also had tracked 266 proposed workers’ comp-related regulations.
“As the regulatory and legislative landscape evolves, it is imperative for industry leaders to stay informed and adapt strategically,” NCCI President and CEO Bill Donnell said in a press release. “At NCCI, we are committed to delivering comprehensive updates and insights to help stakeholders navigate the road ahead.”
