Injury rates at Tennessee VPP sites 70 percent below average, state claims
Nashville – Participants in Tennessee’s Voluntary Protection Program have injury and illness rates that are 70 percent lower than national industry averages, according to the state’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
Thirty-eight companies currently participate in the state’s program. In 2012, seven of Tennessee’s VPP sites had no recordable injuries, TOSHA said.
The agency is encouraging Tennessee employers to visit TOSHA’s website to learn if they are eligible for participation in the program.
