Age: 36
Associate Professor
Purdue University
West Lafayette, IN

“In a recent study, Denny evaluated a tactile pressure-sensing glove system to determine whether the glove system could provide safety practitioners with a tool to monitor worker hand loads. The study found that these gloves could provide a continuous measure of hand loads. Mitigating forceful exertions is a major challenge in health care, with sustained postures and non-modifiable task loads. Denny was one of the first to publish on the use of exoskeletons as an intervention in the operating room. This paper has already been cited 40 times and has received media attention.”
